To make this San mai blade, I forge welded damascus steel with an old canadian file. First, I forge welded two pieces of damascus to make it thicker. Then, I made a groove at the edge with an angle grinder, I put there a piece of high carbon steel and I forge welded a second time (see the pictures)
The blade is around 29 mm wide (9/8), the spine is 7.2 mm thick, the edge is 73 mm long, bevels are even and around 0.5 mm wide, 1/4-1/2 hollow.
 I made the scales out of buffalo horn.
It comes  shave ready. Price includes a free sharpening service.   
I test every blade I make, I have shaved with this razor at least once.
